APP Prototype

The Goal & Summary

I designed a website prototype for The Andy Museum (The Andy), a fictional public art museum in the San Francisco Bay Area, building on the mobile app prototype I initially developed. I created paper and digital wireframes, followed by low-fidelity and high-fidelity mockups, ultimately producing a high-fidelity prototype for the desktop version of the site. The visual identity, which extends the app's design, emphasizes accessibility and functionality to enhance the user experience.

Design Strategy

The strategy aimed to maintain consistency with the app prototype's user flow while creating a unique visual identity aligned with The Andy's brand. The familiar user experience was preserved through consistent interactions for adding tickets and checking out. The process culminates in a final confirmation page, where users can review their booking details, add the event to their calendar, and explore other upcoming events at the museum. This approach balances user-friendly navigation with brand-specific elements, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for visitors planning their trip to The Andy.

Conclusion

Building out the website version of The Andy's prototype was a rewarding experience. Scaling up the design required thoughtful consideration of accessibility and maintaining a consistent visual identity. This project pushed my skills in creating a prototype that was both functional and interactive, providing a seamless user experience for testing.
